• Consultation for health insurance and managed care issues relating to healthcare and pharmacy entities and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).

 

• Representation for insurance audits, investigations and network terminations.

 

• Analysis of the operational structure of health care providers, life sciences entities and pharmacies.

 

• Negotiation and drafting of corporate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to form effective compliance programs for pharmacy-related enterprises.

 

• Negotiation and drafting of agreements, such as central fill and shared services, among life sciences stakeholders, including hubs, networks, payers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmacies.

 

• Negotiation and drafting of marketing-related corporate policies, protocols and procedures applicable to pharmacy-related enterprises.

 

• Assistance to pharmacies and pharmacists for obtaining state licensure.

 

• Representation for state pharmacy licensing board proceedings.

 

• Experience with various types of pharmacy enterprises, such as long-term care, mail service and specialty.

 

• Working knowledge of the community, regional and national retail and wholesale pharmacy enterprises.

 

• Consultation regarding the reimbursement for governmental payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.

 

• Working knowledge of the differences between branded and generic pharmaceutical value propositions.

 

• Consultation regarding the legal framework governing compounding, including the Compounding Quality Act (CQA), Drug Quality Security Act (DQSA), and state laws governing compounding by specialty compounding pharmacies and national retail chains.
