  • Assessment of organizational risks, mitigation of risks, implementation of successful resolutions, and comprehensive cost assessments, periodic reports and presentations to management regarding existing and potential litigations.

 

  • Knowledge of life sciences coverage and completed operations liability for biotechnology, clinical trial coverage, non-implantable medical device operations and specialty pharmaceuticals.

 

  • Familiarity with product lines for health-related businesses, such as biotechnology, clinical development facilities, clinical research facilities, clinical trials facilities, clinical trials providers, contract manufacturing and development, diagnostic substances, dietary supplements, distributors, genomics, laboratories, life sciences, medical devices, medical technology manufacturers, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, proteomics, research organizations, services organizations, veterinary products.

 

  • Understanding of the relevant issues and processes in healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, medical practice, pharmaceuticals, scientific operations, product development and life cycle, and similar issues involved with litigation and risk avoidance in the health industry.

 

  • Legal oversight of the renewal cycle for existing accounts, support for new business and new business development.

  • Lead interactions with key insureds and supported meetings with targeted potential clients.

​

  • Conducts and manages analysis, review, negotiations and documentation of claims.

​

  • Implemented and monitored the legal aspects of total loss control programs for complex accounts.

​

  • Legal strategies for loss mitigation, and analyzes loss information to determine future loss trends and required controls.

 

  • Experience reviewing, investigating and managing claims related to catastrophic injuries, environmental, toxic tort, or similar lines, to advise on severe commercial general liability claims.

​

  • Consultation for management and sales, to assist in establishing and developing a profitable book of business.
