  • Negotiating and drafting various agreements, contracts, documents and templates related directly to trucking transportation practice, such as for: asphalt trucking transportation services; broker-carrier; broker-shipper; bulk mail transport; cross-docking; crude oil trucking transportation services; drivers and mechanics maintenance; freight national master (FNMA); freight pickup and delivery; freight transportation service provider; fuel supply; full truckload (FTL – generally for an item weighing more than 10,000 pounds, which requires payment for a dedicated truck); fulfillment services; gas transportation; less-than-a-truckload (LTL – generally for items weighing more than 150 pounds but less than 10,000 pounds, and which requires payment only for the actual space used on the truck); livestock transportation; maintenance (whether as needed, monthly or pre-paid); master transportation (MTA); motor carrier services; moving van services; natural gas liquids transportation, fractionation and marketing; operator or owner trucking services; produce transport; production services; shipping; specialty transportation; terminal; terminaling and transportation services; transportation services; truck transport; truck transportation services (TTSA); warehouse lease.

  • Compliance with domestic Federal and state, and international, administrative agencies, frameworks, guidelines, laws, recommendations, regulations, rules and statutes, related directly to trucking transportation practice, such as the: Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Clause 252.246-7000; Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act); Federal Highway Administration (FHWA); Hazardous Materials Transportation Act (HMTA); Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA); FMCSA Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program; Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs); Federal Solid Waste Disposal Act (FSWDA); Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA); FSMA Final Rule on Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food; National Highway Transportation Agency (NHTSA); Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA); Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA); Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Sanitary Food Transportation Act (SFTA).

  • Legal support for Material Inspection and Receiving Report (MIRR) Form DD 250 (required by the US Department of Defense – DOD –supplies and services contracts covered by DFARS Clause 252.246-7000 (cybersecurity regulations).

  • Legal support for truck transport of Federal United States Postal Service (USPS) bulk mail transport contract awards, such as: assistance for complying with the bid solicitation; claims for reimbursement from the USPS by the freight carrier; investigations by the USPS regarding the freight carrier’s compliance with the terms of the contract; verification that the key people in the freight carrier company are not former USPS employees (although the USPS contracting officer is allowed to waive such restriction under certain circumstances) and have not worked for the USPS for at least one year before having any involvement with the freight carrier or acting as a consultant or subject matter expert (SME) for the bidding process.
